branch of a birch tree…a brick house…a pile…a wooden shoe…full of
bustle…alone at home…mine…here!

A poetry-filled puppet show about home, construction and life in the company of houses. Older house poems evoke memories, newer ones make you giggle as new acquaintances. A house is also built on the stage from poem to poem, it is all your own. There are some wooden blocks and tools in the toolbox for puppets, and we even see some small-scale, sturdy earthmoving equipment on the table stage…

Nukketeatteri Nirunaru is a long-established and versatile amateur puppet theatre based in Tampere. It was founded by Tuula Martikainen more than 50 years ago. The group performs for both children and adults in a variety of settings, including libraries and events. It is known for its close connection to the world of libraries and its living cultural heritage.
