Hedgehog and Bear

Hedgehog is a curious philosopher and Bear is a dreamy adventurer. Together, the friends embark on a unique journey into the depths of the forest. They meet new creatures, face challenges and solve puzzles. In the forest, each animal lives in its own home, fiddling around by the stove, watching the fire, listening to the rain and the wind.

The story, based on the books by Sergei Kozlov, leads to a warm and thoughtful reflection on philosophical questions. Life is not just about running, jumping and laughing. Sometimes it is good to listen to the silence and admire the twilight under the tree.

The performance by the French XZART theatre group skillfully combines fast-paced storytelling with endearing characters with more thoughtful themes. Each stage of the adventure offers an opportunity to explore friendship, tolerance and nature. The performance reminds people of all ages of the small joys in life.

Founded in 2003, XZART is a theatre and puppet theatre company directed by Michel Rosenmann. Its repertoire is aimed at young audiences and families. Based in Noisiel, Eastern Paris, XZART also offers workshops and a regular programme for audiences of all ages. The company’s productions frequently tour in France and abroad.
