MUKAMAS 2022 – Programme Includes Colorful Children’s Shows from Near and Far

24.08.2022

As usual, the festival features a wide range of national and international children’s performances.

International children’s shows include colours of imagination, strong individuals and warm togetherness. Spanish Tian Gombau has charmed with his one-man shows on stages around the world. In his enchanting story New shoes, the new experiences on a picnic trip accumulate in child’s new shoes. A small event takes us on a global journey. People of all ages can venture into the child’s world in the gentle flow of popular songs, nature and the sands of time.

Czech puppet theatre Drak‘s performance Log leg is a speechless story of a girl who dreams of becoming a dancer and how her desire to move exceeds the limits of fantasy. A surprising accident makes little Jazmína observe life in a new way. The performance inventively combines visual and performing art. A story is a tribute to imagination, movement and life in general!

The French puppet theatre group XZART offers a charming show A Younger Brother Like No Other for the whole family. In the story, Lili the Bunny worries about her baby brother Doodoo, who is growing up in the wrong way. The touching performance gently reminds us about the importance of being together and accepting differences.

Finnish shows for the whole family offer music, funny animal friends, complex situations, circus and shared adventures are offered by for example Hevosenkenkä Theathe and Puppet theatre Sampo, rarely visited at Tampere.

The first festival day ends with the premiere of Teatteri Mukamas’ performance Matkalla maailmalle (Journey to the World). MUKAMAS 2022 also offers free baby and children’s theatre performances Hiirulainen ja Suuri seikkailu -KESÄ and Satuvarjon alla: Pikku-Siili in cooperation with Finlayson area.
