Mitä muistan, mitä unohdin

Toivo and Elvi, who fled the war as children, each have their own dreams. In implementing them, they are driven by community pressure to make choices that are unfortunate for themselves.

This story is about dreams, love, and the meaning of choices, based on letters, photographs and memories. The atmospheric performance consists of puppets, shadows and masks – accompanied by acoustic live music.

Haihara Puppet Theatre was founded in 1969 by Gunvor Ekroos and Anneli Kuronen. The atmospheric theatre facilities were built in the unused red-brick chicken house of Haihara Manor. Those same spaces are still the puppet theatre’s home stage. The performances are mainly aimed at children but also entertain adults. The Haihara Puppet Theatre plans and implements various themed art events aimed at the whole family.
