MUKAMAS2026 – The International Puppet Theatre Festival\u2019s Children’s programme<\/a> will once again offer high-quality and insightful puppet theatre that will charm even older viewers. It will feature international star performances and Finnish puppeteer masters with a long history. The Festival will be held in Tampere from 16 to 20 September. The event\u2019s diverse programme will feature visually impressive performances for both children and adults, using modern puppetry techniques.<\/p>\n

International performances feature children’s own ideas,
\nforest creatures, projectors and acrobatics<\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

Icelandic artist Aude Busson<\/b>‘s performance Mannd\u00fdr <\/i><\/span> has toured theaters and schools in Iceland, France, and Norway. The collage-like soundscape features Finnish children’s thoughts on life’s big questions. It is typical of Busson’s works that the audience is not just watching the performance but becomes part of the work. Children and their perspectives play a particularly important role. <\/span><\/p>\n

Theatre group XZART <\/strong>arrives from France with their adorable animal characters. The performance Hedgehog and Bear<\/em> takes you deep into the forest to meet the furry creatures. The skillful storytelling alternates between fun and action and more sensitive themes.<\/p>\n

The internationally acclaimed Company Portmanteau <\/strong>tells the story of three little dots using acrobatics and overhead projectors. In the performance Piste, piste, piste<\/em> the performers create a dynamic and poetic environment that leaves room for children’s own imagination and interpretations.<\/p>\n

The calmly flowing Da Da Sur <\/em>by Helsinki-based Nukketeatteri Sampo <\/strong>is a delightfully Dadaist performance for all ages. At the end of the performance, which celebrates creativity, viewers can take a closer look at the imaginative sets and objects.<\/p>\n

Teatteri Hevosenkenk\u00e4 <\/strong>from Espoo brings the beloved characters Tatu <\/strong>and Patu<\/strong>, who solve the mysteries of Outola this time as detectives.<\/p>\n

Festival organiser Teatteri Mukamas<\/strong>‘ popular Mets\u00e4n arvoitus?<\/em> which premiered last autumn, will be performed on the H\u00e4ll\u00e4 stage. Wonderful live music and Anna-Liisa Tarvainen’<\/strong>s charming puppets will take you on a forest adventure.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
